CLOVES

Cloves are valued for their pleasant aroma and flavor that they add to
the food and on other hand, they are appreciated for their invaluable oral health benefits. They grow as reddish small flower buds on the trees of Myrtaceae family.
These trees grow 8 to 10 meters high and it takes nearly six long years for them to start flowering.

Production Process

Hill Tribe is a significant producer of cloves, with plantations primarily located in the Southern states of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, where the climate and soil are favorable for the clove tree (Syzygium aromaticum).

Clove trees are cultivated through methods like transplantation, and the harvested flower buds are then traditionally dried in the sun to produce the spice. Clove plantations are concentrated in India's southern states, especially Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, which provide the ideal climate for cultivation.
